SMS Push Technology – Issuance
SMS alerts are sent to cardholder's registered mobile number based on certain pre-defined and limited criteria. For all transactions which match the required criteria, a record is updated to a SMS file maintained in the system.

‘ The SMS alert could be due to:
- Backend Card Management System activities – Card Creation, Statement Dispatch, Payment Due, Payment received etc.
- Authorization – First time usage, transaction amount over Rs. 5000

The authorization records are updated to the said SMS file instantaneously on successful completion of the authorization. The other SMS records are updated post EOD activity by the card management system.

An interface program reads this SMS file around every minute, identifies new records that have been added, posts the SMS to a pre-defined SMS Gateway (external provider) and receives a success or failure message from the SMS gateway. Logs are maintained and updated accordingly and selective reports are generated.

The SMS Gateway provider (external) in turn processes the SMS received from Venture Infotek 's host and sends them to the cardholder's mobile number through available mobile network routers (multiple).

On receiving a success or failure state from the SMS Gateway, the SMS programs running on the Venture Infotek host, moves the record to a historic file for future references.
