Objective
The objective is to have a product with full functionality of an EDC machine, which can be deployed on an ECR or a Desktop having Win98 or higher version of Windows Operating System. Also, to enable the merchant accept the payment card using the solution.
Overview
- Merchant is provided with a PS2/USB/COM Printer cum MSR
- Field engineer visits the merchant and does the installation of application, REV and USB/COM printer cum MSR
- Merchant initiates the transaction from the PC
- Transaction traverses via PSTN/CDMA/IP channel
- Payment switch receives the transaction request in ISO 8583 format and processes the transaction like any other normal transaction
- Payment switch sends back the response to the merchant PC
- Based on the response the PC application displays the appropriate message to the merchant and completes the transaction
- Merchant generates the charge slip
