Objective
The objective is to have a product which can enable the merchant to acquire the credit card transaction through interactive voice response system. Target is to encourage/support low ticket merchants to accept credit card payment, to have a low cost transaction processing channel and to provide a backup solution to all existing POS terminals.
Overview
- Merchant dials the IVRS number
- Pre-recorded script guides merchant for further action
- Merchant initiates the transaction
- Transaction traverses via PSTN/CDMA channel
- Transaction request hits the IVR host
- IVR host converts the request into ISO 8583 format and sends it to payment switch
- Payment switch processes the transaction like any other normal transaction and sends back the response to the IVR host
- Based on the response the IVR application generates the voice response. e.g. on successful sale transaction, Approval Code & Invoice No. are communicated to merchant
- Merchant generates the charge slip using ZIP-ZAP (Card Imprinter) machine
